Back to school season is around the corner. Here are our top 10 Back to school safety tips for our little ones.

-
Find another child in the neighborhood with whom you can travel to school with if you walk, ride a bike, or take the bus.
-
Always wait for the school bus far away from the street on the curb.
-
Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before you approach it.
-
When riding your bicycle always wear a helmet.
-
Respect the laws of traffic lights and stop signs.
-
When walking always take the same route and never take shortcuts unless you have your parent’s permission.
-
Don't wear clothes or carry items with your name on the outside, and don't be confused just because someone you don't know calls out your name.
-
Don't get into a car or go near a car with someone in it unless you are with your parents or a trusted adult. Never take a ride from someone without checking first with your parents.
-
Use a backpack with wide, soft shoulders and padded back. Pack only the essential school supplies to help keep the weight down.
-
Try to eat something healthy for lunch. Fresh fruit, salads, and water are much better choices than potato chips and soda; you’ll feel better and be able to concentrate better in class.
